UAE and Global Warming

Every day in the local’s news paper are writing about global warming. Dubai’s government made a train station to decrease the number of individually car using and if you want to pass some of main road in Dubai, you have to pay fees. These steps will decrease the amount of CO2 in our environment. The police catch the drivers whose cars are releasing a huge amount of CO2 and they should pay a fee.

United Arab Emirates government has attended all conference about global warming all over the world to protect our world and keep it clean.

Causes of Global Warming

Causes of Global Warming

Global warming is the increasing of the average temperature of our earth. There are many causes of global warming, I wrote about some of them. Now, I am going to write about all causes in specific.

During the past century, the temperature of our earth has been changed. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said: “the most of the observed increase in the globally averaged temperature since the mid 20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in green house gas concentrations. But, what are the main causes to make the greenhouse thicker more and more?

On the earth, the major natural greenhouse gases are water vapor, which cause about 36-70% of the green house effect (not including clouds); carbon dioxide (CO2) , which cause 9-26%; Methane (CH4), which cause 4-9%; and ozone layer, which cause 3-7%. The atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) and Methane (CH4) have increased by 31% and 149% due to pre-industrial levels since 1750. This is the higher then any time during the last 650,000 years.

There are many causes to make greenhouse more and more thickly, the main cause of this problem is increasing of releasing carbon dioxide (CO2). From less direct geological evidence it is believed that carbon dioxide values this high were last attained 20 million years ago. About three-quarters of the emissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere during the past 20 years are due to the fossil fuel burning and from large stationary sources such as power plants. The rest of the emissions are due to the land use change specially deforestation.

In 2002 about 40% of carbon dioxide emissions stem from the burning of fossil fuels, 20% comes from the burning of gasoline in the internal-combustion engines of cars and 13% comes from trucks which used mostly for commercial purpose. The (IPCC) estimates that aviation causes 3.5% of global warming, and that figure could rise to 15% by 2050.

Global warming

Global warming is the increasing in the average temperature of the earth near surface air and oceans in recent decades. In my essay, I am going to write about the main causes of the global warming and its effects in our life.

Global average air temperature near the earth's surface was little rose during the past century. Most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the middle of 20th century is very likely due to the increasing the greenhouse effect.

There are many causes of global warming; the main cause is the carbon dioxide. While the carbon dioxide is the principle greenhouse gas, Methane is second most important. Methane is more than 20 times as effective as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere. Another greenhouse gas is Nitrous oxide (N2O), it is a naturally produced by oceans and rainforests.

The most problem effect of greenhouse is rising of sea level. Sea level is rising around the world due to melting mountain glaciers and small ice caps. Rising sea level will cause losing lands and cause storms and flooding. Humans will lose many natural water supplies around the world because of green house. This problem will make a disaster around the world.
